Lysdexia

Well, that's what I call Dyslexia.

It has made reading not enjoyable. I have struggled to read required books in school and in general. I have found it easier with a Kindle, because I can make the font large enough that my brain is less likely to mix up letters and words.

It has certainly lead to some interesting misreads on memes and things friends have posted to social media. lol

In cashiering jobs, I would often tell the customer the wrong amount, or give them the wrong order number. Usually the customer laughed, and I mentioned that it's "Just my lysdexia," which made them laugh more, and I laughed, and the embarrassing moment would pass ok. Though I was still frustrated with myself for the mistakes...

Trying to read the Bible aloud, in a group, was particularly bad one evening that stands out. I struggled to read the words, and was slow. After I finally finished the passage, the person sitting next to me gave me an encouraging hand on my shoulder, which just made me feel worse...

Ebooks are a good thing...
