The Critters That Scamper
After leaving McDonald's employment, I went up to Cambria to seek comfort from a friend...well, the biggest crush I've ever had... but she was busy hanging out with her brand new skaterboi boyfriend....
And so I sat on the rocks at the beach, in great depression. Having lost a job due to medical issues, and then being rejected...
I sat there praying for courage for the life struggle that I was beginning, only seven months into my seizures.
I looked over at the tidepools on the rocks next to me, and saw the sea animals living there in the tidepool. And felt this sense of "I made those, I listen to those, and I listen to you." It was, absolutely, God speaking to me in that moment of one of my lowest points.
My understanding of God's Magnificence comes from understanding that God made all those critters that scamper right there in the tidepool, and God listens to us, when we call upon God. In little ways....(the big things, the big changes, are up to us as a species)....God cares, cares enough to know each creature of the sea, and each hair on our heads.
